How to Choose

What buyers weigh up before ordering.

  • Post Size and Span

    Bigger posts carry bigger spans. The 100 and 120 mm frames suit gardens and patios; the 135 and 150 mm frames carry larger roofs for villas, pool areas and commercial terraces.

  • Load and Snow

    Snow loads run from 50 kg/m² (AL-100-SEQ, AL-120) and 60 kg/m² (AL-100-F) to 100 kg/m² (AL-135) and 120 kg/m² (AL-150). Choose by the snow and wind your market sees, not by price alone.

  • Motorized or Manual

    Motorized roofs run from a remote control or wall switch, and the AL-150 adds app control and LED lighting. Manual roofs keep the cost down for stock programs.

  • Rotating or Folding Louvers

    Rotating louvers turn on their axis to let in light and air. Folding louvers stack to one side so the roof opens almost fully.

  • Freestanding or Wall-Mounted

    Freestanding frames stand on base plates anchored to a concrete foundation. The AL-120-DE-WA/W is fixed to the house wall; the AL-150 can also be fixed to one or more walls.

Are DMY aluminum pergolas manual or motorized?

AL-100-SEQ, AL-120-DH and AL-150 are available manual or motorized. The other aluminum models come with a motorized roof and remote control.

What is the difference between rotating and folding louvers?

Rotating louvers turn on their own axis to open and close. Folding louvers (AL-100-F, AL-120-DE, AL-135-F, AL-150-F) stack together so the roof opens almost fully.

Can an aluminum pergola be attached to a wall?

Yes. The AL-120-DE-WA/W is fixed to the building with posts at the front, and the AL-150 can be fixed to one wall, a corner or between walls.

Do you make custom-size aluminum pergolas?

Yes. Every aluminum model can be made to your size. Send the width, depth and height and we confirm the structure and price.

How does an aluminum louvered pergola handle rain?

Rain runs off the closed louvers into gutters built into the beams and drains away through the frame.
